Orphan Rescue Bringing Hope for a Bright Future with Education...$450 US supports one at risk child in African communities for an entire year.
During the year, the children attend school, study, learn. Through your generous donations, they have Hope For A Better Future Through Education! Orphaned, homeless children alone cannot afford to attend school and purchase a uniform.RFFA initiated the Orphan Rescue program in 2005 because we realized that school is not free in Africa! Orphaned children have no money to pay for the school fees, the school uniforms and shoes, school supplies, a mosquito net, some nutritional support, and other incidentals that are necessary to attend school. (For more details, go to the O.R.K. sub-category herein.) Furthermore, many of the government grants do not provide funding for education. Rotarians For Fighting AIDS is filling a vital, necessary gap in the one of the primary needs for these orphan children. Who Oversees Orphan Rescue? The RFFA Africa Country Chair and his committee receive the funds by wire from RFFA USA headquarters. Orphan Rescue funds can also be used to create a Matching Grant with The Rotary Foundation and, therefore, the funds are monitored by the Host Rotary Club as well as support from the RFFA Country Committee.) There is Rotarian oversight throughout the entire process. The RFFA Committee works in coordination with the NGO Partner organization to obtain the supplies and pay the fees. Rotarian assistance at every level is the key to making Orphan Rescue such an effective community based program. How Am I Sure The Money Helps These Children?A final report is written by the RFFA’s Partner Organization to RFFA. We post these reports (or partial reports) with pictures on the site on an ongoing basis so you can learn the results of how your funds are spent. A good example of one of these reports can be viewed right here: CLICK HERE TO VIEW THE REPORT.
