RFFA works as a young organization directed by an 11 person Board of Directors from four continents. RFFA is headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia U.S.A. and daily operations are run by the Founder and CEO Rotarian Marion Bunch.  Once RFFA was formally established by RI, it became a non-profit organization under the United States IRS tax code 501 (c) (3).

Because the power of Rotarians' influence at the community level is well known, RFFA has been very successful in establishing partnerships and generating substantial funds for their programs.  Due to RFFA's early success, many NGOs request RFFA's participation fighting AIDS in some part of the world.  Rotarians throughout the world, and their Clubs, look to RFFA for guidance regarding their particular local interests and project plans for HIV/AIDS.

Rotary International's ability to attract and mobilize human resources at the community level in countries around the world surpasses any other humanitarian organization.
